The Alpine View House makes a dramatic architectural statement, sitting on an incredibly steep site with commanding views of Lake Tahoe's north shore. The landscape creates a variety of outdoor spaces, including a protected tea garden nestled between the home's glass staircase and a massive retaining wall, that echoes the sounds of the steel water feature. On the downslope side, the subtly terraced landscape flows naturally into the native terrain.
