The Riverside retreat achieves a profound architectural statement while seamlessly celebrating the majestic Northern Nevada High Desert and Truckee River Corridor. Its design ethos centers on dramatic stone walls that form a protected, north-facing courtyard, strikingly contrasted by a south-facing, semi-sunken lounge designed to immerse occupants in expansive views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The landscape design draws inspiration directly from the vibrant colors, textures, and plant communities of the adjacent Truckee River. Within the courtyard, a sloping vegetated roof features bands of native seeding, creating a fluid visual connection to the Peavine Foothills beyond.
