The Carson Valley Residence features beautiful contemporary architecture in an incredible rural setting. The compound features a short term rental residence in addition to the primary residence which required intricacy in design to create privacy between the residences and outdoor living spaces while not obscuring and elevating the surrounding mountain views. The landscape planning also had to aid in clarify the access to each residence and develop a strong sense of arrival for guests.
The resulting design celebrates the contemporary architecture and 360 views through clean lines and a restrained material and planting palette.
