meraki place
Meraki Place is a 16 lot residential development in old southwest Reno. Evergreen was contracted to do custom designs for 7 of the residences, working closely with the developer, home builders, and homeowners. The architecture of the development has a decidedly contemporary aesthetic, lending itself to simple landscape features that speak as much with their materiality as they do with their form.
The home layouts are somewhat unique for the Northern Nevada, utilizing large entry courtyard that you are more likely to see in the cities of Southern California than the high deserts of Nevada. These courtyard offered unique design challenges that ultimately ended up being a design highlight, allowing outdoor living to extend into all sides of the residences.
